Baggeridge Bricks

The other day, I happened to be driving past this site

Baggeridge Bricks are famous for their Engineering bricks,
also known as Staffordshire Blues

The brick factory is in the middle and looks like a quarry
Sedgley, the town shown on the right, is near Birmingham

As you can see, the yard is full of bricks, but the factory
is derelict and the whole site has been closed down

Despite its condition, this is an excellent example of a decorative panel, which shows the use of Special Bricks

This Display Panel shows Brick Pavers. As can be seen, their dimensions are slightly different from normal bricks

so the brickwork can be viewed under real conditions.
In particular, how it performs against rain and frost

The Security Guard said that Wienerberger, the Austrian brick company, was asset-stripping this plant, although there are other sites in the area that are still operating
